WASHINGTON \u2014<\/strong> Security concerns surrounding President Donald Trump\u2019s family have intensified after Iran-linked media outlets broadcast videos depicting alleged vulnerabilities involving First Lady Melania Trump and the president\u2019s youngest son, Barron Trump.<\/p>\n

The first video, released in July by Tasnim News Agency, an outlet associated with Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, focused on Melania Trump and appeared to identify locations in New York City connected to her public activities and shopping trips. The video reportedly showed images of her motorcade and referenced luxury retailers in Manhattan, including Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue.<\/p>\n

The material went beyond political criticism, according to multiple reports, and presented information about Melania\u2019s movements and security arrangements in a manner that U.S. officials considered threatening. Reports said the video encouraged potential attackers to exploit information about her routines and discussed the possibility of using toxic substances against her.<\/p>\n

The video concluded with a direct warning involving Barron Trump, who is 20. That development prompted additional scrutiny from U.S. security officials, particularly because the Secret Service protects members of the president\u2019s immediate family.<\/p>\n

The situation escalated further in August when Iranian state television broadcast another video specifically targeting Barron. Reuters reported that the nearly three-minute broadcast discussed an alleged plot against him and claimed that his movements were being monitored. It also alleged that a $10 million bounty had been offered for his killing, although that claim could not be independently verified.<\/p>\n

The second video reportedly displayed locations associated with Barron, including his university, as well as images purporting to show vehicles and security personnel connected to his protection. The U.S. Secret Service has confirmed that it is aware of the material and is investigating it as part of its protective-intelligence responsibilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,\u201d spokesperson Nate Herring said, according to Reuters. The agency declined to discuss specific security measures or investigative details, citing operational security.<\/p>\n

The reported videos come amid an already heightened relationship between Washington and Tehran. Iranian threats against President Trump and members of his family have been reported previously, particularly following the 2020 U.S. strike that killed Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander Qassem Soleimani.<\/p>\n

Security officials nevertheless distinguish between threatening propaganda and a verified operational plot. The appearance of a threatening video does not by itself establish that an attack is imminent, that the individuals behind the material possess the necessary capabilities, or that every claim presented in the footage is accurate.<\/p>\n

For protective agencies, however, publicly issued threats can still require investigation. Analysts can examine the source of the material, its intended audience, the information it contains and whether any details correspond with independently identified security concerns.<\/p>\n

The incidents have also highlighted the unusual security environment surrounding the Trump family. Melania Trump has generally maintained a more limited public profile than the president, while Barron Trump has largely remained outside day-to-day political activity.<\/p>\n

Despite that relative privacy, both have become subjects of hostile messaging connected to the broader confrontation between the United States and Iran.<\/p>\n

Authorities have provided few details about ongoing protective assessments, and there has been no public confirmation that an attack against either Melania Trump or Barron Trump is imminent.<\/p>\n
